A name is everything. It is the chosen method for what you call those you love, those you despise (the name of bananas is up there on that list), and all the stuff in between. Whether it is the name of your gorgeous brand new baby, or the name of your beloved dirtbike Stacy and your truck who is Stacy’s mom (haha my brother’s current loves), a name is a big deal.

So here we are. In A Voyage of Greys. I just want to officially welcome you to my home away from home! This is kind of my brand new baby, a brain project that will grow and improve and learn with me. I am so glad you stopped by!! I have no idea what I am doing, but I plan to do something epic in figuring it all out along the way. So I hope you stop by every so often and say hello. Drop a comment, send me an email about your thoughts, or even just hang out. I am excited to share with all of you that stumble across my little piece of the world.

So what is this Voyage of Greys I keep talking about??

This is my life. I spent hours and hours trying out all sorts of combinations of words to name this blog, but kept coming back to some sort of journey. One thing that stuck with me most from my friend Jen who passed away from colon cancer almost two years ago is to “HOPE ON. JOURNEY ON.” Sometimes life can be hard. Sometimes it is the most glorious beautiful thing of all time. There are good days and bad, heartaches and celebrations. But all that matters is how you choose to spend your time.

I am on a voyage. Chasing the good that I believe still exists in the world, and making plans to be a part of it. Keeping my hopeful heart focused on the journey and doing what I can to help lighten another person’s load of burdens and pain. Sure I can’t change the whole world, but I am sure going to try!

There are a lot of people that believe if they can’t do something HUGE or MASSIVE that will make a difference (the black), then they decide they are going to do NOTHING AT ALL instead (the white). I have a thing for the greys. Those little in-between colors that come in all the shades of glorious effort. Whether it is chasing your dreams of becoming a doctor or starting a blog, the real beauty is in trying.

Those are the greys.

I love that your grey might look different from my grey. How cool is it that both of us can be trying something new or hard or scary and it can be just as awesome as another person’s efforts?? Haha just geeking out over the color grey over here sipping my Ultra Red Monster energy while chilling in traffic. 😉

Not only is grey fetching amazing in that aspect, but it is the most calming color to me so I have it all over my bedroom too. Low-key obsession over here, no biggie.
